It’s little wonder that our country is in-the-midst of a nutritional crisis. Even our own Government guidelines on what constitutes healthy eating is based upon guidelines set over 65 years ago.

Take that in for a second and think about how much progress we have made in all areas of our world, health and well-being, yet the current government ‘Eat well guide’ is based upon thinking and very spurious research conducted almost 70 years ago.

When I created Health Daddy, I understood that we would need to begin with some ‘Little Wins’ which is why I’ve begun with the schools. While the work is critical, it also only solves one very important part of a much broader issue.

As we stand today, we already have huge consensus credible health professionals that the ‘Eat well guide’ is currently contributing to our three biggest killers in our country.

Our E.G.G.S Campaign stands for the: ‘Eat-Well Guide Glorifies Sugar’ and that has to stop.

If you live in Britain today, then the facts are both frightening and horrendous.

1 in 2 of our friends and family will be diagnosed with cancer at one point in their life and Dementia has grown at an epidemic rate to become the biggest killer of women. As I write this, the top 3 things most likely to kill me or someone I love are Heart Disease, Cancer and Stroke – yet over a century ago, they were all practically unheard of.

Here’s another sobering fact. Obesity, cardiovascular disease, strokes, cancer, high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, dementia, fatty liver disease can all be directly linked to what we consume.

That’s the bad news. The good news is they’re are entirely preventable.

By just making a few small changes, marginalising sugar and maximising nutritional natural foods, we can turn this thing around. A short life doesn’t have to be fate.

I for one, want to help those that I love, live longer and I’m sure you feel the same way.

Join me, and the hundreds of Doctors, Nutritionists, Parents, men and women who are getting together to lobby government to bring the ‘Eat Well Guidelines’ up to date.
